Wilson's wife had taken him to Beaver Dam Creek about 3:00 Wednesday afternoon. Wilson was to meet his wife at 5:00 and when he did not come Mrs. Wilson got Roy Willard Dockery of that section to look for him. Funds of 81,631,000 have been obtained for the rebuilding of the Towns County Hospital, it was announced at the ground breaking ceremonies Friday. According to Mr. Bob Anderson, a member of the Towns County Hospital Hoard, the new construction will consist of a 40 bed hospital and a 30 bed nursing home. The present hospital, which serves Clay and Cherokee counties as well as Georgia counties, was partially destroyed by fire on February 10, 1967. Damage at that time was estimated as 65 percent total loss. Since that time the hospital has had only seven patients rooms containing eight beds. However, beds have been placed in other areas to accomodate the demands of the patient load. Before the fire, the hospital had a total of 26 beds. Towns County recently voted a bond issue of $125,000 to show their interest in obtaining funds for the hospital. Local funds will pay for 20 percent of the total cost, while State. Federal and Appalachian grants will provide the remaining 80 percent. Continental Construction Company of Vidallia, Ga., winner of the contract will begin construction Monday. This tape then is "played back" through a composing machine at the rate of 22 newspaper lines per minute. A Computer in the composer obeys codes which the operator has recorded on the tape. It not only reads the tape but also blends in instructions from an operator's control panel. Total information then is printed out by a small globe-shaped printing element which skims across the page faster than the eye can see? up to 14 characters per second.
